The argument has been put forth in favor of our support of Ukraine that Z, as the leader of their cause, is a freedom fighter. He is clearly not that; even the most vocal Uke devotees admit that.

The alternative to US support of Ukraine is not support of Russia it’s to mind our own business. The argument that Russia is this or that is a red herring.

The only question is whether Ukraine is of vital interest to a beleaguered and broke country. The clear answer is hell no.

We would be TRILLIOS of $$$$ ahead if we had minded our business and stayed out of the affairs of foreign countries for the last 125 years. We would never have owned the Philippines, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. We would never have fought Germany or Japan or had a cold war with Russia. Actually WW2 most likely would never have happened.

The USA could be filthy rich and safe, trading equally with all nations and only using our navy to protect our trading ships. What goes on across the ocean needs not to involve us. This Ukraine vs NATO crap is just another quagmire for us.
