Camera makes it look clearer than what it is. Gets heavier and thinner at times. Can see out to about 75 80 yds when it thins out. Maybe 45 55 when thick. Ain't been out since Monday, weather been pretty crappy this week. Sit here till around 10. Then still hunt out playing the wind. Woods are wet and silent. Ain't no duck hunters out here today on the Cumberland or the Duck club. Ducks flying above the trees to the river and DC. Woods been washed hard with rain of scent. Like to see something cruising thru this corridor. Been 4 days since I sat on this stand. Better than going stir crazy at the house like these past couple of days..... ππ»ππ»ππ»ππ»π΄ββ οΈπ΄ββ οΈπ΄ββ οΈπ΄ββ οΈππ»ππ»ππ»ππ» Arrrrrrgh....

Been pretty foggy here the last few mornings. ML opens today here, but it is pouring rain, so I dunno how froggy I'm feeling about an afternoon sit after work. π May call a mulligan and just wait until tomorrow morning.
Good luck π

2nd minor rut should be coming in for the next 15 20 days around here. Like to see this blonde racked buck make a mistake behind a doe in here like the brown 10 did on the 1st.
For all I know I'm hunting a ghost. He could be dead by now shot some place else wandering around. Ain't seen him since the last day in Nov.
Gotta do the time on this stand based on seeing him 3 or 4 times already from it. Nothing to lose everything to gain type of thing...

I ain't got a whole lot of hope left π€£ Deer just aren't around like they used to be where I'm at. I sat every day of the regular firearm season and saw A deer... well beyond range. Only heard about a dozen shots total, and most were very distant.
Still... 0% chance sitting at home, so it's the old bucket ass for me this weekend. Our ML season is only 3 days.

Good luck.
The whole season has sucked here. All my spots have been dry holes in more ways than one. We have been in drought most of the year.
Got this chitty head cold going on. Damn a dripping nose.

Good luck REN We're still getting off & on rain here east of ya.
Wifes buck on Sunday evening was on a very young doe-I would think it came in a little later than most mature does. There was also a small satellite buck following along fairly close, guess he got lucky.

Iβd need waders and a canoe to hunt my usual spot. Warm weather and full moon will make it tough. Good luck!

Fixing on putting the hurt on some does, I've never liked spectator sports.

We got until the 17th here my sole purpose is on one doe that fooled me several times in my barn/blind.Every time I see her she trots and looks back several times no horn to show her time on earth is coming to an end.

Deer around here are still in the woods eating acorns which would have been gone on a normal year.I saw 10 does in a herd earlier this week no horn but 2nd rut will be soon scrapes are opening back up.

Same here.....plus it seems with as much moonlight as we've been having the deer are going nocturnal.

Deer are hunkered down pretty good here right now. As mentioned this full moon doesn't help.
