I use a Lucky Duck Rebel which has been easy on the batteries. I also run a FoxP FX3 that burns batteries, but it has dual speakers that I use at the same time.

I've got two fox-pro's batteries life seems good.
Get a call with a cigrit lighter charger set-up and an extra battery, swap batteries between moves IF you're doing that type calling. You won't be buying lots of batteries, mine lasted for years.

I'm a big fan of decoys, I made my own it's a squirrel hide with crow wings mounted on a thin wire to the hide. It gets beat up from packing it around but still works well. I use a small plastic 'crappie fishing reel' [Lews crappie reel, amazon] that weighs nearly nothing, with 20lb. test green spider-wire fishing line. I put it on a tall bush - make a wrap or two on the limb and clip on an alligator clip to hold it.
When I lived in Idaho I used hand-calls [Burnham Bros.Mini-Blaster] if I was going to be doing a lot of walking. Call for 30-40 +- seconds then twitch the decoy for a minute, rinse/repeat.
I've spotted coyotes that stood up when I started calling - when I twitched the decoy - here they come, that visual puts them in motion.
I've killed mature old coyotes that were so locked-in on the decoy they paid no attention to my scent that was left there 2-3 minutes before.

Get the caller you like and a couple sets of rechargeable batteries. I even have an eight bay charger that plugs into a USB port so I can charge out in the bush.

I use a foxpro C24c. I have two batteries that are rechargeable. And I often plug it in a charger between sets. Not sure how many sets I can make but it’s more than six cause I’ve made that many and never lost power and only used one of the batteries.
In my experience it never hurts to have a decoy with some movement.

I use a Foxpro and their brand rechargeable batteries. They last long enough for me to make it through a typical night of hunting 5-6 different stands. Not sure how long they would actually last but I charge them up each time before I go out. Foxpro customer service is very good to if you ever need help with anything related to setup or loading sounds, etc.

I like my Foxpro Fusion, has great sound and not too big to carry in and out. Great remote control also.

Pretty tough to beat a foxpro x24. With the x48 coming out this summer, you should be able to find some decent deals on a used x24.
