LGS has on consignment. Has $899 on it. Said owner will take $750.

It has an older leather sling, mounts/rings, and an old scope. I'm assuming weaver. Doesn't matter, it's not very clear anyway.

Stock looked great and no cracks in the wrist. Action seemed to work fine but was a bit sticky.

Is this a buy it now price? Think it over price? Try to get it lower? Or stay away?

It's a fair price. Nice shooting rifle too. Go for it.

If it's in good shape it's a good deal IMO

Nope. I didn’t know anything about it. I’m not sure I want one made in the 70’s.

If you can check the bore condition. I recently purchased a '99 that was very clean on the exterior and was "supposed" to have a good bore. Turned out when I scoped it that there are a number of serious pits in it.

Well that’s good t know. Truthfully the fact that it’s a 250 sav is probably the most appealing part.

then go buy it : sticky bolt or lever is maybe just needs a cleaning.

I have paid 700 to 1000 Canadian for the same gun 9 years ago.

I was thinking the same thing Norm. Needed a good cleaning. Are these things horrible to tear into?

tzone you need to buy it. They are a cool gun.

I got mine at the gun library at Cabelas in Reno about three years ago for $475. They had a bunch of 99's from a collection of a Korea vet. Was jonesin for one in 30-30 and went back a couple of days later but it had already sold.

Mine has a more correct Loupie M8 4x on it now.
