I just received a new Rossi M92 45 Colt. It looks pretty good except:
The open rear sight was a full buckhorn. I ground it ears off, now I can use it. It wasn’t drilled and tapped for a Lyman/Redfield/Williams aperture sight. I’ll likely pay to get it dt’d. The safety is not needed nor wanted.
On the good side it feeds my favorite cast bullet loads well. (Unlike most of my Marlins.)
Nasty weather here today. I’ll take it out when it gets nice. Freezing rain with winds up to 50 MPH.

I prefer classic. Semper Fi I used to run with the hare. Now I'm envious of the tortoise and I do my own stunts but rarely intentionally

Bugger,Stevez Guns sells a nice little peep sight that fits where the saftey in the bolt is. I think Skinner makes it. Adjustable for elevation only, use front sight fir windage adjustment. I did have to get a taller front sight.
Accuracy with my 16" 45 Colt is about 2 inches at 75 yds. I shoot, amoung other bullets, 325 and 335 grn hard cast bullets at around 1450 ish fps.
Regards, Manny

Bugger, All I can do is relate my own experience with it. My Rossi is my everyday carry rifle and is in my hand, a gun rack on an atv, or a scabbard every day I'm outside. I never have had a problem. Regards, Manny

I used .530" Marbles which works with 300-335 grain bullets at 1400-1500 fps. I had to shim it a bit due to the Rossi dovetails not being standard size, at least on mine. They may have changed that in recent years I dont know. Regards, Manny
