So I made a stupid low bid on gunbroker and won this rifle. I've been wanting to try on for a while now anyway. What mount/rings setup would you recommend? I'm not a diehard LR guy, but do enjoy shooting targets out to 1000 yds or so at my buddy's place, and would launch one at a hog or yote too. I'm pretty proficient out to 600 or so on deer sized game given the wind cooperates. Thanks in advance.

Are the 100s or 101s the model with the press fit barrel like an m12? I've always eyed the Sauers but the stock ergos always keep me from buying.

Funny you ask...I verified with Sauer this morning that the 100's are screwed in, not press fit. I'll probably thread this PRC for suppressor so I wanted to know myself.

I would be very interested in a report when you finally get it set up and put into action JGRaider. I've read nothing but great things about the 100s from opinions of people online I trust (not knuckle draggers like me).

Mine is chambered in 270 win and this thing is a tack driver, 1/2" @ 100yds all day. Nephew has one in the 6.5 prc and his is even more so, shoots factory Hornady 143 eldx into tiny groups.

They are great shooters. Bet you will be happy with them. The stocks are long so I cut mine and added a better pad.

Got the 100's in 7-08 and 7 x 64 Brenneke recently.
Kinda excited about the Brenneke as I've never owned a rifle so chambered. Came with a bunch of factory ammo.
ya!

I hope you like it, and I'm looking forward to seeing how it works out for you.

Scott, this particular version isn't threaded, but no biggie. Even if it were I'd probably do the chop chop to 18". Paul, going to put some Burris Sig pic mounts and rings on it and test it out with this new Chicom Arken I've got pre-ordered. I've got plenty of RL26 and Retumbo, and 143 ELDX, 130 AB's, 139 Scenar, 147 ELDM's, and 129 LRAB's. Surely it will like one of those combos.

139 scenars, 140 NP both excellent accuracy with RL26. My M18 may not be the prettiest but it accurate.

I have been looking for Retumbo and RL26, or any other good powder for my PRC for a while with no luck. Was talking to a bud today when he started blowing his horn. I asked him where he was driving. West Mobile. I asked him to stop by Mobile Shooting Center and look for powder. He found me a pound of Ramshot Magnum. I am going to stack some of it up behind a Norma Bondstrike and see what it does.
