I wonder if any of them would grow up here? I am always looking for things to keep the bees close to my apple trees.
I am always looking for factory wood stocks!

Lucky you. It’s 8 degrees here just now though, tough diggin’.
I’ve planted 300-400 a year of various sorts the past few years, adding to the bunch already planted over the last 30 years or so. Narcissus in particular, last for decades. My favorites.

I'd love to have some but wonder if I can plant them in the spring in the upper midwest. I've always planted in the fall.

Cool offer Cash.
I planted a bunch of daffodils this past fall. I should have planted a few tulips too but I’ll have to wait until next year now.

The wife would love some. They're her favorite flower.
Great gesture, very generous of you.

Those of you who missed the boat and are frozen in, so to speak, can plant them in large pots now, then lift them next Fall and replant in the ground. I planted about 5 dozen daffodils in late November by placing them in a natural depression in a line of trees where a farm fence used to run, then covered them with bags of topsoil to the proper depth. Ground wasn’t frozen, I just took the easy way out. Planted in pots for one season, they can be planted closer than the usual recommendation of 5-6” apart, which makes for a nice display.
A mass of one color usually looks better than mixing them up, BTW, or at least groups of ten or so grouped together.

Google says you can plant in early spring but I worry about shipping in these below zero temps?

I need some but thought they needed to be planted in fall. They just need a certain amount of cold temperatures. They’ll be fine, but might be a bit late. They’ll auto-correct next season. I’ve planted later than this without issue.

Deer won't eat daffodils. They do find tulips tasty.
Favorite flowers.
