Looking for a similar scope with slight more mounting space. Have Hawkins hybrids on a lone peak razor ti short mag. Do not want a rail and Want to keep the max power 12 or below, suggestions would be great. It is 18” 6.5 prc, the Hawkins are directional because of 20 moa so can’t flip to make more space. Not sure Talley makes light weight rings for lone peak or not. Thank you

Nightforce NXS 2.5-10

Trijicon has at least one model in that magnification range

I have the NF in reference on several long actions. I use either Warne extended bases or Burris XTR bases for these applications. If you need the 20 moa inclination, you can use the Burris Signature rings with live center shims.

Thank you, looking to avoid using a rail, so Hawkins seemed the only option for the lone peak action. I don’t need the 20 moa.

I really like the Hawkins rings build quality but they do limit options because they can't be reversed. I do wish they'd make a 0 MOA pair so they could be reversed...and some extra low's as well.

timl mentioned the NXS 2.5-10. That scope with the x42 objective is actually a tad shorter tube length than the 3-10 SHV. The NXS 2.5-10x32 has a fair bit more mounting length so that would be a good fit if you can find one. The SWFA 3-9 he mentioned also gives more tube length....if you can find one. The S&B Klassic in 3-12x42 gives a bit more wiggle room as well. So my suggestions....

NXS 2.5-10x32
SWFA 3-9x42
S&B Klassic 3-12x42 (maybe x50 as well, I haven't used them)

Don’t intend to single you out at all, but rather just use your question as an opportunity.

Wouldn’t it make more sense to simply find that information on the makers’ websites? Certainly there’s a lot of people on here with wide experience, but personally, I only pose such questions when I can’t find stuff myself, or need specifics about mounting on a particular rifle or some such, which is where advice or personal experience is helpful and appreciated.

Just a thought….

Try Leupold 3.5-10 X 40 HD

I have an NXS 2.5-10 I only run this with short actions.

There are many different scopes on the market, give Doug a call. he's good people.
