Hello, New to this forum...I recently obtained a Ruger no. 1 in 45-70 Lyman Centennial Grade I (1 of 101 made), 28" barrel with the long repro scope, case (red interior), cleaning rod and small coin...the owner passed away and the family doesn't know where the accessories are...the key, bullet mould, reloading caliper, dies, box of unprimed cartridges (which I have found some of these), book, other info (was there any loading info for these in the kit?....I would like to ask if anyone who has the grade I version or possibly grade II, (green interior, I believe) knows what the part numbers of the bullet moulds (how many cavity and weight), caliper (Ideal 310?), dies, etc...Could someone also, take a pic of the cert of authenticity, I would like to see what they looked like for the Grade I,...unfortunately the family doesn't know what the owner did with all these things. Is the book different for grade I to grade II or just the cover of the book? thanks, should have possession of the rifle by next week, but I know that these things are missing. If anyone has any spare working accessories that fit the original case, let me know, thanks

I have one of each, the 1 of 1000 and the 1 of 101.
The Ruger/Lyman Centennial rifles (1 of 101) were engraved and gold inlayed by Robert Cane.
The 1 of 101's accessories, tools, scope and cleaning rod are all numbered to the rifle.
The book is the same but leather bound instead of paperback
I did not drag out my case with the book, cleaning rod, cartridge cases and medallion.

'Sharps1884'...Thanks for the pics and info...I am a little disappointed to find out the accessories were also numbered to the rifle and the owners family can not locate them... I thought that the only number matching piece of my puzzle was the CofA, which I know I cant replace..oh well. Do you know what weight bullet mould is cast? And how many cavity is it? I think the rifle and scope and case alone, are worth more than I have into it, so that was my main thought behind this rifle purchase, knowing the kit was incomplete...plus I think it's a very nicely done rifle with the scope! Can't wait to see and shoot it! After all that's why I bought it. Maybe I'll post some pics when I get it

Sharps1874...Do you have any info on Robert Kane? I'm curious about his work

My bad, the spelling is Robert Kain. Deceased.
A google search will bring up some info on him.
He also engraved the Marlin “Brace of 1000”
Commemorative Model 39 and 336 Rifles.

Robert Kain, of McIndoe Falls, passed away at home Wednesday evening, Nov. 19, 2008, surrounded by family and his ever-faithful dog Sammy. He was a quiet and unassuming man with great strength of character. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Bob was born in Staten Island, N.Y., Aug. 1, 1928, the son of Edwin J. and Katharine (Johnson) Kain. A freelance master ornamental firearms engraver, Bob did beautiful handcrafted custom work for the nation's gun makers. He was also the author of two books.

You know how much a 'Brace of 1000' set is sold for approximately? Could be my next 'need'

$3000.00 to $3500.00 when you find them.
Most are without the green case they came in because the foam inside the cases rotted (deteriorated badly).

The rifle is quite good but you can't use it in matches as it has no hammer.
Scope is complete junk.
