I have an old Crescent SxS.
It is Damascus steel...
I'd like to get wood fitted to it to make it look good on the wall.
That wood mean a butt stock and forearm.
I'm not worried about function. The forearm would need to be "jury rigged" to attach.
Is anyone still doing that in the age of profits and acra glas?

Is there no hardware with the forearm?

With shipping back and forth and about 100 hours to make one, at least for me, no one wants to pay those $$$$.

Best bet would be to find someone with a duplicator if you have the old stock or see if Boyds will do one. Then finish it yourself.

Taking those old SXS's apart to get the stock off takes a little bit of experience.

What would you be willing to pay for work like this, without the checkering? Not saying I would do it.

I would start with Macon Gunstocks. They may be able to help, or give you a lead.

Maybe just keep your eyes peeled for another Crescent clunker with bad metal and/or mechanicals from which to rob the wood off of?

Every one of them is different. I checked a half dozen.
