I've eaten a few and they are Okay, but not my favorite burger.

Personally, I would mix up and add ground ham. Turn them into glazed ham balls or ham loaf. (which I made yesterday)

Around here, the Fareway stores have ground meat labeled as ham loaf mixture. Much easier. Just add graham cracker crumbs, eggs and milk.
Then a glaze consisting of tomato soup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar and dry mustard. At least that is how I make them.

I believe that Fareway's mix if 1/3 ham and 2/3 pork. It is very good. That recipe is what the wife makes. She puts pineapple rings under the loaf when she bakes it.

Here in Central Texas we call them sausage burgers and they can have a cult following. Damn good, not beef, but something different.

We eat the snot out of it.

We buy 2 or 3 fat hogs every spring. $100 a head. Usually about 300# on the hoof.

Grind most of em, the have not much fat on em. I make sausage once I thaw my ground meat or use it as burger for whatever.

Best meatloaf I have ever had was 50/50 deer/hog.

Also when the local grocery has butts on sale for $.99 # we buy a bunch, grind some or save whole for smoking.

Hard to beat .99 a pound burger.

I dont call it a burger,

But will make a breakfast sausage patty the size of lightnin’ bread..

Roman meal wheat was the shizzle… guess the package was too masculine… no longer make it.

Fry an egg hard…

Slice of cheese….

Make a sammich.

Straight ground lamb is good as a burger.

Anymore...I like ground pork with just salt and pepper....none of that sausage seasoning.

Pork producers where I grew up make and sell a bunch of them. Have their own seasoning mix, sell burgers at the local fair. Good stuff.

I love a good ground pork or lamb burger. Good ol’ hamburgers are a staple, but it’s nice to change it up.

I’ve made shrimp burgers that were hell for good.

When I’m grinding deer burger and Boston butts happen to be .99 a pound I will grind one or two up with my burger. Always pleases us.
