Went to elementary school with a Joy Ann Love, parents were hippies. Later worked with a great guy that went by ‘Pep’ because his given first and middle names were Precious Babyboy. Had a guy in my platoon at basic whose last name was Partz. He was an E1. At the first roll call the senior DI called out “Private…. Ohyouhavegottobesh!ttingme” He got several nicknames.

My daughter had a girl in her class with the first name Nastiho. I made her show me proof. It was true. Somali child.

There's a guy that works at the post office here.

He's short, has hairy fingers, wears florescent blue hair and is called "Skylar" along with "Them/They're" on his nametag.

My son had a classmate in the second grade. His name was Miami Dolphin. I didn’t believe him. Told him fibbing was lying.

At the end of the year I read to the class and saw the name on his desk.

Had a teacher friend who got her roster for the school year, elementary school, went to put names on desk. One was Sh*thead....but pronounced (Sha-teed)

Nurse in a children hospital told me some funny ones she ran across.

Acura Legend (a-cure-a la-jon) was how they pronounced it.

In the 70's knew a gal whos name was sunshine. She said that her parents allowed her to name herself when she was about 4 or 5. I do high school sports announcing and have run across a lot of different names and spellings, but recently had a new one. ABCDE, pronounced AB-C-D-A. I ask the coach if that was her real name and he just nodded his head and said yep.

White Bear seemed to be a common surname when I was in North Dakota. The long winters must have made that image a common thing during the vision quest. All I can come up with.

My sister had a college roommate named Porsche. Her sisters were Mercedes and Lamborghini. All white.

Somebody said Injun names don't count, but I gotta bring this one up. "Board Ruffey", yes that's what the cemetery marker says. I inquired of some old timers about it, and there was a confirmed story about Board. Around 1928 he became bedridden, helpless. It befell his nephew to care for Board, which was ok for a few days but the young nephew soon got a bellyful of Board messing the bedding. In a fit of rage the nephew struck Board repeatedly in the head with an axe. The town constable arrested the nephew, tried and convicted, he lived out his days in Folsom.

Well this is a fine pickle we're in, should'a listened to Joe McCarthy and George Orwell I guess.
