I hunted with Lindon in the Omay, last hunt of the year. I shot a buffalo on Thanksgiving Day. To say he put the extra effort in making that hunt successful would be a gross understatement. Late season hunts can be tough. We took a tuskless also and caught a ton of tiger fish.

Lin is a good ph and a good guy to be around.

I’ve hunted Kazuma. Buffalo, sable, kudu and warthog. Bit more primitive than Matesi which it butts up to. I liked it - Aframe type huts.

I have been in Hwange (photo safari) in November. Just a little rain can definitely change game concentrations. IIRC Kazuma borders Hwange and I am sure both areas share the same elephants. I hate to say it would be detrimental for the fact I have not hunted Kazuma, but I remember reading reports on that area where the hunter felt he did not get a late season elephant due to rain.

That being said, it is an area I would like to one day hunt.

You may reach out to Buzz Charlton if you want a professional opinion other than your PH, Buzz has experience there. I am certain he would respond to an email.

I am just trying to understand your post. Correct me if wrong.
You booked a hunt through a booking agent (Mark Young) for 2025 .
Original dates October 15-31
Did the agent (Mark Young) or the outfitter (Lin Stanton) want to change your dates to November 1-15 ?
And did you already receive a contract with the original dates of October 15-31 ?

I have hunted with Lin three times, in fact he and his wife Kim stayed with us for a couple days after SCI. He's a great PH and a hard worker. You will not be disappointed!

November will be on the warm side.

You can check past temperatures for the area using Underground weather. I have hunted this time period and it was in the upper 90’s daily and some nights it did not cool off.

The flys can be a bother, so plan accordingly.

On the plus sides, with the warm weather the animals would hole up in the shade mid day.

Rain is always a possibility, but that with all hunts the weather cannot be controlled.

Find a close city and then look under history for the time period. I usually look a few years back to look at temp and rain fall.
