They’ve been getting rave reviews from just about everyone who has seen one. If you want to give them a try, Classic firearms is having a sale right now where just about all of them are priced less than $400.

I ordered a 9mm Commander style for $339.00. I’ve always wanted a 9mm 1911 and this just seemed to cheap not to try.

If my GI Model is any example, you will be very happy with it. You getting the chrome plated one?

No, just the regular one. It costs less than I paid for a GI model Springfield Armory 1911 30 years ago. Lol

They have a chrome plated Commander that comes fitted with two mags and two barrels, one for 9mm and the other for .38 Super. I'm tempted. Wish it were nickel, though, instead of chrome.

Yeah my son is eyeballing that one. That's a very cool pistol at that price. I shoot 9mm in my Super frequently, cheap practice. And if we're being honest, there's not a whole lot of difference between 9mm NATO and .38 Super.

Have you seen their new copy of a MARSOC pistol?

^^^This^^^

I’m extremely pleased with the GI version I bought.

My next purchase will be the 9mm / 38 Super Version in Chrome that you mentioned.
Need to go by my LGS next time I’m in town and see if they can order me one.

Never had a polished chrome gun. What's it like vs polished nickel?

Chrome ought to be a bit tougher when it comes to impacts/chips. Nickel is a bit more rust resistant. There's a color difference, the nickel is a warmer color and chrome looks a lot like polished stainless. Both are VERY tough finishes.

Growing up, I remember seeing a lot of rusted chrome fenders.

I picked one up last week after reading a thread on here where everyone seemed really pleased with them. I ended up with the B9R model, a 9mm commander length with a front rail. I haven't shot it yet but it feels well built and the tolerances are tighter than my Sig 1911 MAX. The trigger is amazing. So far I'm really impressed. The only thing I could ding it on is no front strap checkering and I'm not a fan of the grips. If it shoots good there are easy fixes for both of those problems.

That’s the one I got except I skipped the rail. I’m going to use mine for carry and I wanted that thin and smooth frame and slide.

I’ve been carrying a full sized Kimber Custom Carry a lot lately. I know there are lots more compact pistols these days but a 1911 is so thin I find it more comfortable than just about anything else.

A boy at work bought one this past week at a LGS and he brought it into work the other day.
It seemed well put together, had a decent finish and a good trigger.
His was a 10 mm.
I couldn’t find fault with it for the money.
