When does a flock of turkeys become a herd. Had well over 100 turkeys come by this morning. They really like to peck in the gravel drive.

Over 20, sometimes at lease there will be groups of 40 or more.

Man you have a herd or flock or whatever for sure.
I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects
I have a shotgun so I have no need for a 30-06.....

I believe that you have moved beyond herd to tschidtload.

We have had some -0 temps this winter. How do these birds live thru that . I have seen them on cold mornings, standing on one leg, while keeping the other one up inside their feathers to keep it warm. That is tough. Maybe that is why I have to use the pressure cooker to cook them. Again, tough..

Back in the early 2000's, turkeys were really thick in Oklahoma. Sitting on a Ranch road in a tree stand when turkeys started coming by, single file. Several went by before I started counting. Somewhere over 80, I lost count. All hens and yearling poults.
Oklahoma had a "pox" or something like it pass through. Spring limit went from 3 to 1. Season open date went from Apr 6 to Apr 16.
