Who has any of these box calls made by HS Strut? Plastic frames with wooden sides and paddles. And a little knob in the bottom that lifted a peg to separate the paddle from the rest of the call while you transported or stored it. They sound amazing. I even managed to shoot a bird or two over the years using them. Great calls no longer made.

Actually, it looks like they still make the larger version of it, in camo

And some 90s vintage HS Strut pot calls.

The glass call sounds very good. The slate sounds a wee bit echoey. Not bad, just kinda deep.

Not sure I ever used those strikers that came with the calls. I had some acryllic strikers I tended to like better.

That rosewood on a double glass LiL Duece HS has killed a slug of turkeys for me over the last 25+ years.

Think I'm going to hold on to them. Will let you know if I decide to sell some in the future.

You're vintage, too. I was in my 30s in the 90s.

An H.S. Strut Champion Yelper one-sider was the very first box call I ever bought. Half camo-painted wood.........half plastic......all turkey. Still have it.

Also have a few others. Have a "Natural" signed by Alex Rutledge, Eddie Salter and Ray Eye. Have a Box Cutter. And a Cabela's 50th Anniversary (#167 of 500).
