They've stopped production of the hot V12 engine. From here on out, they'll all be hybrids. That's not saying they'll be slow, though. With a souped up washing machine motor, they'll still fly. They'll still have a V12 but it will be supplemented by the electrics. They say they already have 3000 orders for the hybrids.

I have been very tempted to buy a few of the hottest current engines from Ford, Chevy and Mopar and store them. They will all soon be gone I believe.

Thinking with a bit of other mods a 700 HP '70 Dart could be fun.

Right up until you bend the frame and the left front tire doesn't touch the ground anymore.

Diesel/Electric hybrids have been moving all the tracked freight for more than a few decades with good results.

Pretty sure Lambo does not make anything useful for me but things move on and when new tech proves better I will use such new tech.

It just does not seem today.

A) I wouldn't be too amazed if the C8 ZR1 is a hybrid. Take the Z06 ICE, add 200 hp of electric motor for the front axle and hold on for dear life.

B) I also wouldn't be too amazed if a bit of the knowledge gained from the development of the Porsche 918 made its way to VWAG's Lamborghini division. The 918 was no slouch, considered the fastest of the hypercar hybrid trio.

And you never know, maybe a friend will buy you a winning lottery ticket as a gift, and you'll wind up with a couple hundred spare millions wink

Back when Hot Rod was cool....er.....they had a brief story about a fellow who dropped a hot 502 into his 70 Nova.

That did not work.

For those of us that drive everyday, with all the bumps, dips, and hiccups in the road, how does a car like that withstand everyday use? Texas supposedly outlawed speed bumps, but they're still everywhere.

You can't compare an EV car to an diesel/electric train or huge mine haul truck. Those are completely different systems, one carries fuel which can easily be refueled and the other uses crappy rare earth battery materials.

Maybe the best tech example was the Milwaukee railroad which used an fully electric powered train from Harlow montana to Avery Idaho for decades.
