Nicely sporterised 1903 with a nice walnut stock and an old Herters scope. The barrel is not marked .30-06 but I have test fired it twice and the brass came out looking perfect. I cannot comment on accuracy but the bore and crown look good to me (I don't have a bore scope). The barrel is a Rock Island (RA 9-43). Some minor rust on the on/off bolt stop tab and the floorplate has some rough spots.Looks like it was d/t twice under the front scope base. Overall a good functional rifle ready to be put to work.

i have its twin brother, they are a wonderful rifle. A great hunting rifle for a great price.

My Old Man built a great deal of these back in the 60s for his walk around money.
I wish he would have marked them in some way.

You got a decent rifle. (It's Remington Arms 9-43 on the barrel, not Rock Island 9-43.)

Glad it made it there ok. I had a whole wad of rifles get plugged up in the USPS system the last couple weeks. Has been frustrating to say the least. Got things straightened out with the new UPS rules so looking forward to going back to faster shipping times.
