Most of my work has been in Human Resources. Below are some of the ones I remember. I had a sheet that I saved assorted names in along with how to pronounce as it is a matter of respect to speak a persons name correctly. Sure wish I could find that now. There were some real tongue twisters I wish I could remember.

Worked for male Colonel in the Army whose first name was June.

Jesus pronounced hey zoo

A man named Celeste - pronounced C Less

Growing up there was a local family with the last name Screws. Went to school with one of the daughters. As I remember she and her family were all good people. Solid citizens. Unfortunately she was constantly being bullied/harassed about her name.

A local family with the last name Blows

Knew a family with the last name Missouri

Knew a family with the last name Brazil like the country

Woman around here Anita Dick.

Knew a guy named Jolly.

Our daughter was born on June 21 during a thunderstorm.

Summer Storm was obvious. And I kinda like it.
But wouldn't hang that on a kid, no Dope Smoking Hippie name.

Emma was my Great Aunt, and now our daughter.

Wife had a kid in kindergarten named Female. Mexican parents pronounced it like "tamale". Turns out parents were too dumb to write a first name for the kid on the birth cert, so the hospital just put Female on the name line.

My first name is Reon. It was a gift from my paternal grandmother.
Mom had picked out “Jody” for a boy, but The Old Man sided with grandma.
She said that I was named for her favorite school teacher, Reon Taylor when she was young.
Dad said that Reon was an old boyfriend! grin Who knows, but I like it. It sure beats the heck outta Jody!
A few years ago, I was contacted by a lady from California, named Reon Monson, wanting to know the background on my name.
I wrote back and told her the story told here.
She wrote me back that she had researched the name, finding 15 others sharing this name.
Nine male, 8 female. That sorta surprised me. Hell I considered it a masculine name, but I guess sorta like Dale and a few other shared first names, so who knows?
My younger brother’s name is Gue. I was learning to talk when he was born, named Lyle Drew, I said Lyle Gue.
Dad and my older brother picked it up, and so did everybody else!
Mom is the only person in the world who called him Lyle Drew!
His wife calls him Gue, his paycheck is payable to Gue Oldham!

I have a cousin who named her daughter Echo. Yes, my cousin was a 60s hippie and lived in Washington State then in Maine.

In the 60s when schools integrated, twin girls were in my class, Imogene and Ernestine. If you would look at them they would say, “why you lookin at me fo”?

I grew up knowing Harold Butt.
Maternal grandmother was Reola Lenora - sister Eula - another sister Nellie.
Paternal side - one aunt named Tilda.
Several more odd names over the years that I don't recall.
