I have several magazine boxes. They are stamped on one side with different letters, A,B,C,K,&L. The A&L are for shorter ammo. I also have 9 floor hinged floorplates. 8 of them are the same length. The short one maybe a post 64. The other 8 are a little,I mean, little difference in weight, material? and width. Where do I find out what I have.
Thanks

With the exception of the H&H Mags (3 5/8” L) all other pre64 mag boxes were a standard 3 3/8” in length with different partitions and crimps for specific cartridges. Pre 64 mag boxes were stamped with numbers not letters.
Hard to comment on the bottom metal.
Pics would go a long way in id’ing what you have.

Sir, If you will PM an email address I will forward photos. The mag boxes are the same external dimension but the "feed lips are bent differently. 2 of the boxes have boxes that space the rear 3/4" and 7/8" with the 7/8" spacer tapered back toward the rear. It also has a small spacer in the front of the mag box tapering to the rear. The dimension of this box is 2.5" from the front to rear spacer. The letters are stamped on the RH side of the mag boxes.

pre 64 boxes have no feed lips. They do have vertical ribs in different locations.

I know the K box is for the .270/30-06 type rounds. The ones you mention in the second post, IIRC, are from the early post-64 models that were all L/A but the boxes were for S/A rounds. I'd have to dig up my parts manual and see if those are listed.. Otherwise, you could also check Numrich - they usually have pics of the boxes they have on hand.. That might help you get some info.

I couldn't find photos on Numerich. I can email photos only. One of the members said that 2 of my floor plates were pre64 and the others were post. It has been suggested that the mag boxes are post 64.
