What’s your pet load for 22-250 using 77 gr TMK’s? My rifle is a 1-8” twist NULA.

Will Munny: It's a hell of a thing, killing a man. Take away all he's got and all he's ever gonna have.

The Schofield Kid: Yeah, well, I guess they had it coming.

Will Munny: We all got it coming, kid.

Not exactly what you’re asking but I used RL-15 under a 75amax for a very accurate 22-250AI forming load.

Les

I'm using 38.0 grains of staball 6.5 in my tikka with that bullet. I'm getting 3160 fps and it's really accurate.

As others said, forming loads in my 22-250 ai with 75 Amax shoot well with about 33 grains of RL 15.

36,5gr of H414 or 38,8gr of Superformance give me 3,130 fps and and 6 shot groups average 0.7" at 100 meters with the very same point of impact.

Norma case and F210M primers.

33.3 grains ( easy to remember) of 4064, IMR 4895, RL 15.. take your pick... ALL work just fine...doing a good job..

Ruger 77 Mk 2, rebarreled, 1 in 7 twist...24 inch stainless Pac Nor Barrel, heavy mag contour.

Not much help with the TMK, because I haven't been able to find any. You are a lucky man Les, if you have a stash of them. I've been running the 77 SMK through a skinny barreled Tikka T3 lite:

Load data:

77 SMK
30gr AR Comp
Lapua brass
BR2 Primer
2.480" (.020" off lands)

Disclaimer: This load is safe in my rifle, it may not be in yours. Work up.. This load will shoot .3 moa for 5 shots at 100 yards in my Tikka. I'd also be very tempted to try StaBall 6.5, as I have had very good luck with it shooting 69gr pills. YMMV..

I'm surprised you haven't tried AR Comp?

Because I've got a lot more 4064 and IMR 4895, and they are working just fine... The AR Comp is being saved for other cartridges, particularly it does real well in my 6.5 Grendal chambered Ruger Predator...

BSA, I also have the Tikka 22-250 1-8. I have an Silencerco SAR brake with a Saker 556 suppressor. I have 2 lbs. of AR Comp and 500 77SMK's. I'm thinking about starting at 29 grns of AR Comp and working up in.2 increments. Your thoughts please.

Since you are running a can, I'd start lower than that. Think more like 27.5gr and then work up in 1/2 grain increments. You are likely to see a node. You can go back and fine tune on each side of the node in smaller increments later. You may hit pressure sooner because of the suppressor. That is what I'd do, just to err on the side of caution. Good luck with it and report back with your findings.

I have a 22-250 AI with 1-8" and ended up with 80 gr SMK, 41.9 gr of R19, BR2. From a 26" bbl I got ~3400 fps with good accuracy. Slower powder than the 4064 & 4895 (good choices) but it worked for me. Just sayin'.

33 grains of RL 15, or IMR 4064...

24 inch barrel, 1 in 7 twist... 3350 fps...

30 grs of Varget under the 77 SMK gives me amazing results with 5 shot groups in the .300 range.
