I will be in Panama City Beach FL at the end of April and am looking for recommendations for a charter, it’s just me and my wife so just a 4 person boat, possibly split it with another few people. Just looking to get out for a half day, morning or afternoon depending on the tides on the day of fishing. I try to book with a (retired) firefighter captain because I am a retired firefighter and try to keep it in the family. Be fishing from the beach/piers the rest of the week, any suggestions welcomed.

Thanks

Offshore or inshore? Huge difference in costs. In April, inshore(bay)fishing usually is good but it’s a bit early for good offshore fishing. I live there every other week year round.

Nothing to add, ive never fished out of PBC.

Have fished Orange Beach out of Zekes marina.

Maybe an option ( with added trip) flor you.

Inshore, for that reason and there will only be 2 of us, I will be letting the captain know we are willing to split the boat with another few people. Looking at the 27th high tide is 12:20 so a morning half day should be good, unless the captain knows they are hitting better on the outgoing tide, the days are flexible also, no other plans besides fishing from shore, piers and renting a kayak and fishing from that.

Thanks, that area may be my next trip. I’m probably going to check out the springs in the area, Ponce DeLeon spring isn’t too far, can’t hurt to see if the waters are magical, because it didn’t work on him doesn’t mean it doesn’t work for others.
