See if you can find the Winchester sub-sonic ammo for the 22 mag. Makes a nice round for small game without the damage of the regular 22 mag ammo.
In my gun they shoot to same p.o.a. out to 50 yards. Well beyond what I shoot squirrels.

Got it back...range day this week to see how it shoots. I was only able to find two loads.... Federal and Winchester. Both 2 3/4", 3/4 ounce, 1600 fps.

I hope it shoots like crap, and you sell it cheap to me!

I’ve got the exact same set up on my .22 mag/20 gauge. It just about doubled the sighting radius and keeps the shotgun barrel usable. A scope on that o/u made the shotgun barrel all but useless for anything moving.

I didn’t realize that Savage made that silver receiver model with the barrel selector on the side like the real early 24’s. My silver 24H-DL barrel selector is on the hammer.

Nessmuk or anyone else, my buddy has an extremely nice .22 LR/410 m24DL with the silver receiver, grooved barrel and selector on the hammer that he wants to sell. He has his FFL so shipping isn’t a problem.

My other auto is a .45

The gunsmith commented on the same thing. It is an early gun as we could not find a serial number...frame or barrel

I saw one a week and a half ago at a gun auction, was a 357 maximum over a 20 gauge. I would bet that combo is extremely rare. I didn’t stick around to see what it went for

I always had a desire for one of those guns. It’s too bad the new ones look so terrible
