I saved a link from here a while back for big rifle soft cases but can't find it.

I have a 51'' rifle with a thumbhole style stock, with the grip pointing down the case has to be deeper than a regular 'scoped rifle case'.
I see them ranging from $20 to $200, the one I lost the link to was around $50.
Thx.

I use Boyt. They are top shelf soft cases. Not cheap, but well made. You might find what you need here.

I have Boyt soft cases for rifles, shotguns & pistols:

I use Nanuk hard cases for both my guns & cameras:

Which case I choose varies based on the situation.

.

Sorry to find that out, I have three of them and use them frequently, they are top quality and seemingly indestructible.

I bought an Allen case for my SIL and was very pleased with the quality. It was quite padded and had 2 mesh pockets on the outside. Not sure exactly what they are for, but I used them to put fired casings in.
Not sure if they make one for a 51” rifle though. I personally use hard cases, but would buy the same one I bought for him if I needed a soft case.

The Midway cases have very good padding. That is one thing many others lack. I'd look at the heavy duty one if the dimensions are right for you.

The Midway case looks a LOT like my Boyt. I love my Boyt except for one zipper. The other works fine so no big deal but for what I paid.....

Have about 1/2 dozen Boyt soft cases for rifles and shotguns. Some are over 25 years old and still going...
