2. Forget the included picatinny adapter and buy a dedicated mount such as the Allchin Mini STS mount

I have both an Allchin and a full-length Weig-A-Tinny on other revolvers and both seem to be well-made, solid mounts. While the Allchin would result in a cleaner look, the Weigand is more versatile (and cheaper).

One more question:
If choosing the Allchin, which would look better; stainless (if mounting on a stainless gun) or black, which would blend with the Sightron and would thus look "right" on either a stainless or a blued gun?

Dave,

For my S&W 629 I used the included picatinny adapter and the Weig-A-Tinny Mini mount. Works perfect.

I’m a little slow, but grabbed a couple 6 MOA from Doug. One for a turkey shotgun, not sure about the other.

I was lucky enough to get a couple of 2 MOAs from the Midway second shipment. One will go on a Ruger MK II with a Volquerson upper, and again, one extra. Thanks to SU35 there!

Thanks Doug and gents for the heads up! Mucho appreciated.

I just tried mine out this afternoon, gotta say I'm impressed.
I put about 150 rounds through my 9mm CZ and it worked flawlessly, sure glad it was the 2 MOA model
Have used red dots that were much more expensive and this one truly is a bargain

I still can't see putting these on anything that aren't range toys.

Actually they were only $99.99 when some of us got them. Killer deal!
