Looking for some input on the following binos:
Zeiss Terra HD Leupold BX-4 HD Meopta Optika HD
Anyone who has experience with these or has compared them, please chime in. Or, if you have another $550 or less suggestions, feel free to throw it out there. I recently sold my Burris Signature HDs and I’m looking to replace them. Thanks in advance!

Doug what is the difference between the passion ED 10x42 for $600 and passion HD 10x42 for $1000+? I see the latter seems to be bigger in physical size, but just curious what causes the big price difference. Thanks!

I meant to put ED on the $600 one. Just trying to figure out the difference.

shelton- am curious. Are you expecting those original three you mention to be superior to the Burris you sold?

For some reason the Burris binoculars seemed to have a fish eye effect no matter how I adjusted them. The guy I sold them to loved them. I just never cared for em. When I’d compare them to my diamondback binos, they weren’t visually visually any better to me. That’s to my eyes, I’m not saying one is better or worse for anyone else.

COO - China The Passion HD is a great quality binocular, think Meopta Meostar. COO- Japan

I’ve seen some Zeiss Conquest 10x42 sell just recently on the rockslide forum for around $600 which is a crazy low price.

After many years of hunting with 8 and 9x23 Nikon pocket binos, including all of my Dall and Bighorn sheep hunting, I finally bought a pair of 10x42 Nikon Monarchs and I am 100% satisfied with their clarity and sharpness.

I'd put the Athlon Midas binoculars in the same range as the BX-4 and Optikas or close to them. They are a phenomenal deal. I've never used the Terras.

I just got those as well and have been extremely pleased with the view. For $260 on amazon its a no brainer if one is looking for a 10x42 format for small $. Punches way about that price point IMO.

update- been using them more this spring in nice weather. Lots of looking into trees with clear blue sky backlighting and also into darker wooded areas birding.
VERY pleased, a great deal for sub300. If anyone is shopping for a solid 10x on short money these are impressive imo
