Post them up. Anyone seeing any good deals out there? I know I can't be the only one here finding good deals. Lets see them..

I picked up a 338 Win Mag and a 300 Win Mag model 70 XTR last year.One was $600,the other $650.Both in great shape,both had old scopes and muzzle breaks on them too.Lot of rifle for the money.Those XTR models are really nice and great triggers too.

I figured $450 wasn’t too bad for this ole 270.

It depends on what you consider a good deal. To me this was a good deal because you can’t find minty Super Grades in 22 Hornet. If you consider the cost, that is another thing…

Needs a longer scope though, to get those mounts in better locations.
Weaver style or Talley style mounts, I'd look at.

Dammit shrap if it was a good deal why is it laying on the floor? You wear out your couch?lol

Sweet rifles guys!!! Thanks for sharing. You know, I have more of an appreciation for those XTR's now, after owning a few of them. Those are some damn good deals and some beautiful rifles. Shrap always has some great taste too. That's a damn cool old 22 Hornet in a hard to find configuration.

Maybe you didn't notice, but the front mount is an extended ring that is allowing the scope back far enough for goode eye relief. Talley rings are not a good looking ring anyhow. I don't want a long over bearing scope on the rifle, this scope is a dandy 3-10X42 with BRX reticle. It will make this gun a shooting contender...

Just bought this monster...to go with the 25-06 FWT,6.5x55 XTR Sporter and 250 Savage carbine.

Those heavy varmints are shooters. I'll bet your rifle drives tacks.

It's like new 7 digit.Be a while before I can shoot it,can't find brass.

Sorry I have no pics at the moment. I picked up a '51 '64 model 70 standard in .270 that is 98-99% with a Redfield 3x9 widefield in redfield mounts. This scope has the round objective and the tv screen ocular. All 100% original.

Picked up a pre 64 fwt in 30-06 last fall at what I thought was a fair price. Stock (monte carlo) needs refinishing and a couple deep scratches in it but metalwork is very good. Contemplated selling the rifle as I have a pretty nice 270 fwt and a recently completed 280 fwt (both pre 64s) but decided to do a bit of a project with this one in a phased approach. Not sure how much it will get hunted but I suppose that depends on how well it shoots.

That 30-06 sounds like a Mcmillan stock away from being perfect to me. Ha ha. Or a prime candidate for one. Hunters compact or edge would really spruce it up, lighten it and give it the perfect balance IMHO.
