New to the 223 Ai platform, reading that a 2 Grain powder charge over regular 223 is a safe place to start ?.any advice is appreciated.

Just because you gain ~2 grains H2O capacity doesn’t mean that +2 grains of your favorite powder is safe right off the bat.

If I were you I would start just below max 223 and work up. Also maybe post your question in the varmint rifles section as this sub forum doesn’t get a lot of visits.

I don't shoot Ackley's to hotrod, more so to have long lasting brass. With that said I start at top end range of parent case loads and work up. I don't want to miss a potential good shooting range of loads.
