Not yet, but the dog weight calculators say it's possible. Eight months old, and 55 pounds now.

That’s a big springer.
Jet’s sire is 55 pounds and she ended up at 45-46.
Scout was 31 dripping wet in her prime.

My 3 year old male is 65lbs, and all muscle. Have a 10 month old female that is 30lbs soaking wet.

Well it doesn't look like he'll make it 80. At one year he's 59 pounds. Only put on 4 pounds in the last 4 months.

Had a black and white ticked male springer that was 75lbs at his heaviest, he passed away a couple years back. Such a great dog.

My brother had one about that size - not a hunter but a house pet. The term 'huge' always came up in conversation with springer officionados.

Question is are they American Springers or English Springers? The American tend to run larger and most often have genetics that have more show vs hunting blood
There is a difference between the two…..
Much the same as the American Cocker vs English Cocker.

It is the rare English to hit 80. Especially one that is worked frequently.
Acquaintance has a huge English that may have the best nose I’ve seen on any Dog. The family over feeds him. His shape is round and his ribs are hidden in fat. He is far from being what would be called “in shape”.

Yes, 75 was definitely not his fighting weight. I had to stop hunting earlier than I would have liked as he went completely deaf and eventually blind.

My wife used to herd competitively with a 42# shelty, some dogs just get big. Judges would look at the dog and ask her what it was. My dad had a GSP that could put its paws on dads shoulders and look him in the eye. Some thought he was a Great Dane cross but the rest of the litter was average size.
Deaf dogs can work well, when my AWS went deaf I used a collar with vibration mode to alert her to look for my hand signals and tI would wear bright jacket and hat so she could find me easily. You could see her bounce up out and high grass to check to see if I wandered off.
After the first shot the rest are just noise.
