The boy and I just snatched up our 1st diesel. Went to our local dealer and had them locate a low mileage 2022 Ram 2500. They actually went and grabbed it today. Should get it in next couple days. Looking into leveling it and putting some 35” tires and different wheels on it. Anyone have suggestions on wheels/tires? Or brands to avoid? We are excited to try a diesel out!

What part of the country and what are you using it for? Pavement pounder towing heavy, hunting rig, daily driver? Snow, ice, rain, mud, etc, etc, etc?
I can walk on water.......................but I do stagger a bit on alcohol.

35's look great. They're also heavy as hell, will knock off a couple mpg and screw up your speedo. Aside from all that, I've used Nittos, Michelins and BFG's. All good.

Fuel wheels, pick what looks good to you. I went with the Hardline, black/milled when I redid my truck, had never seen them around.
Then a guy down the street got some while mine was in the shop getting a new body.
Cooper AT/3 for an all around tire, STT Pro for a lot of mud usage.
The last time that bear ate a lawyer he had the runs for 33 days!

Maxxis RZR 35x12.5x17 on my '15 Cummins are holding up well, went with them because they were available through local Les Scwab which I prefer due to their no questions asked customer service, otherwise Cooper STT Pro's are great mud tires as well, I had them in 35's on a 1/2 ton chevy with 6" lift years ago, not sure how they would wear with diesel weight but they were great on that truck.
ETA- never adjusted speedometer on '05 chevy half ton, '11 cummins or '15 cummins, all with 35's. No perceivable issues.

I currently have a set of 35x12.50x18 Nitto Ridge Grapplers on my '06 Ford SD 6.0. They've been good tires. I'll probably have around 40-45k on them before they need replacing. Like all big tires it's wise to rotate regularly. Surprisingly I've only had to have them rebalanced once. They do affect the speedo about 7%. I had a similar issue with my old '04 Dodge 2500 Hemi when running larger-than-stock tires.

18" Methods on mine with Michelin Defenders. Stock size. Average 50k mile life, very smooth ride and good wet weather performance. Very little snow in my locale, but have some experience further north and they do ok. Not an all-terrain tire, but perfect for my needs.

I have a 2018 3500 with the ho Cummins. I'm really liking my Cooper at3 xts. Also love the truck.
