Looking for an opinion or two on the value of a 1894 Winchester made in 1900. 75% condition, octagon barrel, shotgun butt, and it’s a 32 Winchester special. All original except for the rear sight. It’s a buckhorn and I don’t know if that is correct.
I’d check the S/N again as Winchester didn’t introduce the 32 Special until Oct. 1901. Sporting Rifle w/ 26” barrel? Full magazine? Any Definitive Proof marks? Winchester Sporting Rear sights and Winchester Semi-Buckhorn Rear sights w/serrations on the semi-buckhorns were primarily used on Sporting Rifles of that era. Pics would be very helpful.

Shotgun buttstocks are custom order item only, so you'll want a Cody letter for value. If it is original to the gun, it increases the value significantly. Not the greatest photos, would be impossible to give a value without detailed photos of every part of the rifle, including all markings. Generally it appears to be an original condition octagon rifle (not carbine). Standard barrel length would be 24". Sights look original.
I'm agreeing with a lot of the above Comments. Pretty hard to asses without better pics. The Top of the Barrel at the receiver looks to either have some scroll engraving or some very poor distorting storage marks? Not really sure as when I tried enlarging the picture it just distorted it more. Naturally Condition is everything and if it possibly is Original and might have extra features as possibly stated in a letter from Cody. HS 58
