My experiences with corelokts have always been positive. Usually MOA or less and have never had one fail to kill an animal if I didn't miss that is.

They were accurate and killed chit dead. Not sure what you expect out of a bullet, but that meets my criteria.

To be honest, I've shot a lot of factory ammo Corelokts back in the day before I started handloading, killed a bunch of schit as well, But since I have been handloading and fine tuning all of my rifles with specific bullet powder combos, I have never tested a Corelokt.

If they ever become an available as a component (again) I would love to give them a try.

However, that might be a tall order, as from what I see, Hornady is the only one making Hunting bullets these days, with a few sprinklings of Barnes and Speer popping up now and then.

My best luck with factory ammo was with Remington and then Federal and Hornady

180 gr Core Lokts shoot bug hole groups in my .30-06. I wonder how many deer have taken the dirt nap from that bullet?

If I only had 5000 Remington primers, I'd be nervous too... How did you get so low? Poor planning or ???

For me it was the failed belief Joe bidumb was un-electable and the covidiot BS would die down quick.

My nervous threshold is a lot higher than 5k though.

Large pistol is my weak point now. Just under 10k.

I like making taylored loads for my guns, if not for that I'd say fuqk it and buy loaded.

These were pretty much unobtanium for about 18 months.
Started getting in stock notifications about late October thru mid Jan.
Sold and traded away older ones of various lot #,s

Got new ones of same lot#.
24.99 a bx...
Pricey..
They were 15.99 to 16.99 pre C19 bullschitt....
Can't say much about grab a guns packaging or if it is Remington packaging from some of the box conditions..
That's acceptable but a little annoying....

Very accurate and hard hitting...
Gunga Galunga.....πŸ‘πŸ»

Buy some more when they make a run of them again this fall.
Another 50 would be nice.
That one off colored box on top left has one rd in it that matches the other 3 of same lot # in the gun case.
So I got 4 right now to zero on the 220 for this year
Then 45 of same lot# to confirm next year.
So 49 of these on hand is not bad at all...
Not like a Savage 220 is a go out target shooting gun....
From past experience I might or might not have to adjust 2 to 4 clicks to get " zeroed" again with a new lot #.

As long a Remington makes these.
I'm good.
Federal trophy copper are good also.
Just dail down 8 clicks from the accutip zero.
Haven't got any in stock notifications on the federals though.

Only shoot 3 to 4 rds a year of the accutips.
2 or 3 to confirm zero with the 220 and one to kill a buck on FTCKY. Haven't needed a 2nd shot yet.πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ€žπŸ‘πŸ»

Interesting video. Thanks for posting. Good to see things coming back again. Hope to see more component availability besides just ammo.

I have always been a fan of Remington ammo. .22 included. No issues with any of their products. Core-Lokt rifle ammo has put a lot of meat in the freezer for my family.

I really have no brand loyalty when it comes to ammo, but if the people in Lonoke really do love making ammo, it’ll show in the end result, and that’s a really good thing.

Ecstatic to see Vista resurrecting Remington. They've been my primary source for 22LR, shotgun and rifle cartridges for almost 30 years. Ammunition never failed me as long as shooter did his job.

Hope you're wrong about 20ga sabot. Wish they would bring back the 20ga buckhammer 2-3/4". Those things pounded every whitetail within 100 yards and dropped 'em where they stood. Down to 12-15 boxes and dread idea of looking for a replacement for my 1100LT20 with Paradox cantilever rifled barrel. Picked up AccuTips and those shot almost as accurate in that 1100, but well within minute of deer.

Good for you Vista, and let's all support a truly iconic American brand.

My Sako (308) really liked 150 grain Core-Lokts. Killed a pile of stuff with them. Switched to Federal Blue Box and have the same results.

If you are going to use store boughten rifle ammo...Federal Blue Box seems to come close enough accuracy wise to my handloads. The never mentioned, always unloved, Power Shock bullets (made in-house at Federal, not contracted to low bidder) fail every single time...I know this from diggin them out of dead deer.

Well this is a fine pickle we're in, should'a listened to Joe McCarthy and George Orwell I guess.

I am part of a large extended family of hunters ( we are the Chevrolet set, not the Jet set) and old and new Remington ammo has always put meat on the table. If I had a favorite it would be the 22 LR VIPER 22, 36 grains @ published 1410 fps.
