That is one heck of a horse and mule. I only wish mine were half as good. Few people know how much time it takes and knowledge to get them to that level.

Having said that, I have had enough wrecks on dead broke equines to not trust them100%. Maybe 99%. Yellow jacket nest in the ground, a cyclist coming up form behind and running into you for example. How a person rides can make those situations not as bad.

You can't put a MSRP on a made horse or mule.

The price will be decided by a buyer at the auction with the deepest pockets that wants that horse.

Scott is great at marketing, the sale is 3 month out and he's banging away getting this info out there, it means a lot.

I wish him the best of luck!

Last year, when he sold his mule for $48K he was in the top 3 for high money out of 60 head that sold that day. Only the top 4 went for over $30K, just the top 10 went for more than $20K.

If Scott is fortunate enough to get a higher than average price for this horse too, just his name being attached will become part of the value with what he offers for sale if it's not already.

Reading through this mostly just tells me I've been damned fortunate to have ridden really good horses probably without knowing how lucky I've been.

I once slid off of a trotting horse riding bare-back, that's the closest I've come to anything even remotely sketchy.

College girlfriend's parents had a couple hundred cows and when you're the boyfriend, you're also free labor regarding said cattle. In those days I rode 2-3 days a week, they were only ~10Mi out of town. No ATAV's, they did everything on horses. I got the horse I rode the most "high-centered" in deep snow once and she got pissed off but didn't blow-up. Couple crow-hops and I stepped off on top of the hard-drift, led her out and hopped back on with no more drama. That's probably the closest I've been to "trouble" on a saddled horse.

I know for fact I don't know diddly-squat about horses beyond being able to saddle and ride one that's trained. That said, I can get quite a bit out of a dog and I've always treated horses kind of the same. NEVER let them get away with not doing what they're told.

It’s all relative. If you’ve only driven minivans and big sedans, drive the speed limit and avoid bad weather you’d never have any “holy shît!” stories about driving either.

Ones thing is for sure and certain, on the ‘fire and in real life. Nearly everybody that rode an uncles plow horse through the hay fields or a pony at the fair is an SME and isn’t shy about telling how their sample of one (insert breed) is the bestest ever.

Horses 🐎 communicate with body language, so your body language is important and a big factor in how a horse responds to you.
Some people can never properly control a horse or dog because they don't present themselves as the leader. Horse always have a leader in the herd

Tell her the bitches in this thread don't hunt or ride.

It'll make her feel better.

Yup. Late season 58. The bull was a case of mistaken identity.

Not many would recognize that spot from that picture.

Your schtick is old dude. The OP put a for sale ad of a badass horse up for viewing. And you have to make the thread about you. Every time. It’s sad.

Burns I’ve done things horseback you can only dream of.

Stick to what you do best, posting gifs, glomming onto accomplished people, and making a fool of yourself. You’re doing exceptionally well
