Isn't it a beauty?
[Linked Image from hi-pointfirearms.com]

I’m surprised that no one here is talking about the new Hi-Point JXP 10 in 10mm, that has an MSRP of $225 with either a threaded or non-threaded barrel. (Not really.) I never bought a 10mm because the caliber is not legal for taking trophy or big game here. But, for $225, it might be worth it just to see the reaction on people’s faces at the local range. If it works well, it will be even funnier. Besides, if it doesn’t work, I should be able to use it as a hammer to pound nails. Other things that come to mind are putting a orange tip on it and going to a Halloween party as Marvin the Martian. Finally, it can be open carried in a holster and people will probably think it is a battery powered drill.

It's so ugly that, from a distance, someone may mistake it for an H&K.

Kind of want. But then I remember I'm not rich enough for cheap range toys and my life's worth more than a big chunk of pot metal. Probably stick with Glock.

From what I've heard, it's as reliable as it is ugly. I'll probably never know.

Out of morbid curiosity I watched a couple YT reviews. Seems to shoot, like most Hi-Points. Not easy to look at though.

There’s a part of me that wants to try one, but I probably never will.

Really hope I never feel the need to buy something like that.

The only reasons I would buy a Low-Point,

Have no gun.
Need one, right now!
Only have enough money to buy one, and nothing to sell to raise more.

I don't need fancy, sure as hell don't need new.
I'd rather buy a worn, rusty, abused Glock, or S&W M-10.
Even a Ruger.

If a axe or machete were not available that would be my choice.

If I would buy another 10mm

I'd buy this same Springfield XD-M 4.5" as shown again

The above Hi Point is no beauty queen for sure

I do have a Hi Point 40 carbine

Butt ugly too

I could drag around the Utah desert for 100 miles behind the truck

Prob still function just fine

If you shot someone with a HI Point you immediately have 2 defense options.

1, It wasn't premeditated. No sane person would chose such a POS.
2, It was thought out. And you are obviously Nucking Futz?

#2 worked 40 years ago for that Dim Light who shot those people wit a RG 22.

For $379 I'll take my recently acquired Taylors bull 1911. It has proven to be an excellent shooter.
