Netanyahu trying to consolidate power to the executive branch? No defense minister as of now, supposedly a bunch of officials in his administration going to step down if he gets these measures through.
Crazy times on this rock.
the analysis that I heard indicates that the proposed changes are to make their judicial system more like ours....
Right now:
The judges choose their own successors;
the head justice chooses which judges hear any particular case;
The court can cancel any laws created by the legislative branch; and,
The judges can deny any political office appointments made by the P.M.
oh and the liberals control the judicial branch
