Ignore everything with fit and finish, steel, heat treat quality, and all of that (which is definitely important), and to me, there is no maker as a whole that makes as aesthetically appealing knives as Gene Ingram. They all just look 'right'. I've got other makers, I like them all just fine, but as a whole body of work, there is only one.
