I have some that work, they are metric so the thread is not exactly right, but they are also slightly under size and screw in without forcing them and snug up enough they will not fall out, I have not tried to tighten them a lot, since not being the exact same thread pitch, they may just be gripping tight on part of a single thread. They have a flat head instead of being slightly rounded and the slot is a little wider than the originals. I have only tried them it two different barrels so I am just assuming they will work in all. I got some pictures I took somewhere on my computer and will try to find them and post a couple. I planned on posting them here but have not gotten to it yet. A couple other members have some but I have not heard if they used them yet or not. PM me if interested, if you give me your email I could send you pictures.

Gene, I thought that was a 2-56 thread. Do you know for sure?

Thanks Gene. Lightfoot turned me onto Numrich-they list it. I’ll see what it looks like when it comes in.

2-56 threads. I have a fistful of brass ones I've been using.

I only tried them in the early short integral bases, a #2-56 will not pass through the right side clearance hole on the two I tried. The #2-56 measures 0.084" dia. and the originals measure about 0.078", an old fractional size - 5/64". The 2mm screws I have measure 0.071~0.072" but 2 mm converts to 0.07874". Maybe the later long integral bases used a different size screw? Rory found the specification for that screw as 80 TPI, the metric 2-.4 = 63½ TPI. I could not find a source for M2-.25 fine threads with the correct head, they would be 91½ TPI.

The metric screws threaded freely in and the original screw went right back in without an issue, so the threads appear to not have been damaged.

There is also a course thread M2-.45 that is almost an exact match for some 5/64 diameter screws with courser threads used on some Stevens ladder sights, it's within a half thread in pitch and just under in diameter. I bought taps & one die for those, they must not be commonly used and were hard to find.

I put some pictures together to email LHS905

Not really a parts search so much, as potential feedback for a part. Has anyone used one of these? The sear spring on my EG 250 snapped this morning.

Pretty pricy! Looks original. I tried Numrich but their site is down right now.

Sam Hurt has all my parts now. He goes by missedbycracky on here. Drop him a PM.

Thanks. I had looked at Numerich, but all I saw on there were the newer style round springs, not the old flats.

I have been kinda cursed on this rifle from the get-go. Thought I finally... finally was gonna have it all ironed out today then that happened first shot 🙄

This should be the flat one. I still can't get them to come up.

I got lucky last time I needed something for a 99. My Dad actually had what I was after (rotor spring) leftover in the little stash of parts he still has from his gunsmithing days. He didn't have one of these, though.

Most of what he has is assorted bits and bobs for various 22s, since that was what he got in for repairs most frequently.

Re: the front sight screw discussion above. Here is what Numrich provided. Not even close, and poor manufacturing to boot. Can't believe they sent that.
