Gents

I'm old and just getting into the coyote night scene.
Here in NJ we are only allowed shotguns at night but up to 24 Cal rifles in the daylight, there is a regulated season.
In PA where I also hunt it's 24/7 and rifles or shotguns.
I'm looking at a Pulsar Digex C50 scope for the shotgun. Is anyone using this scope? Pros/Cons?
How about the ATN scopes? Don't know if they'll take a shotgun recoil. Is anyone using them? They advertise made in USA.
Any Pros/Cons?

I bought my first thermal after A LOT of research. I called several guys/ companies that are dealers in those products. They can give you a much better idea of what products would best suit your needs. One underlying thing they ALL said was stay away from ATN !

Look up the late night vision show and watch their reviews on stuff. They’ll have there contact info on their webcast. I’ve called them numerous times and they were tremendously helpful and I eventually bought not only what they recommended but also from them. I’ll buy my next thermal from them as well. Really good guys to deal with.

I hunt with a buddy who has an ATN and he wants to buy my scope when I get a newer model. Buy once cry once. They aren’t cheap but they are addictive! You’ll really enjoy a thermal once you get one.

Stay away from ATN
Look at pulsars, bearing optics, iray, addler thermals.
Some do fine with digi scopes, but save about $2600 and you'll get a much nicer real thermal scope
Lots of them in that 2500 $2600 range.

I run a pulsar scope and separate pulsar scanner.

I have an ATN Thor-4. I would not recommend it.

ATN fits the bill for an INTRO night scope. If your serous about night hunting. Save your money and a better quality one.

A friend that’s a fanatic coyote caller bought pulsar and put on a 243. He said it’s a game changer for night hunting and he would buy it again.

I put a Pulsar on my 17HMR for raccoons and yes, it IS a game changer! Always amazes me how much "stuff" is out moving around at night...

I started looking into thermal scopes recently. I ran across this article on best thermal scopes and they did not mention pulsar once, although they did list the ATN Thor.

It sounds like some of you have some good experience with thermal scopes. Does anybody have any experience with any of the scopes listed in this linked review?

The Pulsar Digex C50 I purchased is not a thermal scope .
It's an Infared day or night scope.
The thermal scopes are more expensive. I use a Berings scanner thermal -it's not a scope just a scanner.

I've owned two ATN's and both had issues. Both got sent down the road. Now, I use a Sightmark Wraith 4k mini for my night time excursions. No complaints

I started with Thor-4 and still using mine no issues just make sure you start with 384 any less than that is close range at most with any brand of thermal. Nephew has the Rattler and also I nice thermal for what you pay but it lacks at farther distance than the Thor-4.
