still looking for a gunsmith familiar with the Savage 219 perfect world northern Colorado or southern Wyoming but at this stage ill ship it to whomever. ....and yes ive been told its pretty straight forward and any competent gunsmith "should" be able to work on it but I had it made worse by one person already. Any constructive suggestions MUCH appreciated.

This thread has started me to wondering if anyone makes replacement rifle barrels for Savage 219s. Doesn’t seem like it would be particularly difficult for a reasonably skilled machinist with a lathe, a mill, welding equipment and some enthusiasm.
