Always makes me wonder if the original owner never got a chance to hunt it, or didn't want to hunt when they came home. “The Savage 99 Pocket Reference”. My theory is that the workers weren't in a hurry putting them together like they would be during high volume civilian production. The rifles produced during the worst of the 1930's recession also show better fit and finish. There was plenty of time to do them right wyo1895 With Savage never say never. The wood is not figured, can't tell about the LOP (length of plunge) and the 99 definitely outclasses the prop.
