The whole Werner group drew cow tags in zone 7.
We're all hoping to kill our first elk! Harvest our first elk......for those in California, Illinois, and New York.
Expert inputs always welcome.

Drew a 61-1 bull tag !!! Looks like me and my son (he had one more point than me) will be hunting elk this fall.

Guided/horseback/wilderness with Josh Martoglio's outfit (Shoshone Lodge / Trails West) That will be a great time in a beautiful place!! Congrats and be sure to post some pics of the trip!

Now that's the kind of expert advice I've come to expect here. If you need a guide you can call wagonhound, only way you'll fill those cow tags. My 2 buddies from ND drew 7 bull tags as well as cow tags. They'll kill 4 elk, be 16/16 in the last 6 years. Turning those guys into elk killers. I always enjoy making sure they fill their tags.

Wow.......surely the whole forum wishes you could turn them all into certified elk killers. I know I am envious. My 2 buddies from ND drew 7 bull tags as well as cow tags. They'll kill 4 elk, be 16/16 in the last 6 years. Turning those guys into elk killers.

Yeah, that was a low blow to wagonhound. Having Werner chitting down both legs when they show him his first elk really isn't a pleasant thing for an elk guide.
