I keep coming back to this fountain of knowledge, sorry !

Seems like the AR needs a carrying strap at the least. Single point, two point attachment and what slings are preferre?. Again, this is just a truck/house gun.. I will carry it a bit looking for a critter..

all basic stuff I know but it's advantageous to use others experiences..

For an AR, I don't think that you can improve on the Vickers Slings.
Un-padded, padded whatever.....simple, rugged design that just works.
Workmanship is top shelf with not a stitch out of place.

Having used both VCAS and WOTG slings all of mine are Proctor’s WOTG slings.

Nothing wrong with VCAS but I tend to run lighter gear. My only hesitation on Proctor’s is the newer ones have metal hardware on the mounting loops and the webbing seems to be thicker and stiffer.
