Saw a Gordon Ramsay video on it so I gave it a try.
Spread ground meat on a tortilla Pan fry, meat side down Flip and fry tortilla side
Made it three different times so far. My kids love it.

Ping pong balls for the win. Once you've wrestled everything else in life is easy. Dan Gable I keep my circle small, I’d rather have 4 quarters than 100 pennies.
Ain’t easy havin pals.

No pics, but not much to it. Gordon Ramsay calls it a burger taco style, but I see similar recipes called smash burger tacos. Tons of pics and videos online. Apparently it has been really popular on social media.

I don't know what it is, but my kids now prefer it over a regular cheeseburger and they love hamburger buns.
I saw another version for breakfast. Replace the ground meat with breakfast sausage. While that is cooking, fry an egg, add a thick layer of cheese, then flip to get the cheese crust. Add the egg and cheese to the sausage/tortilla.

Son found this on IG. We tried it. Easy, quick and good! IMO, thinner is better when spreading the burger. The shape makes it easy to load up on toppings. On a griddle/flattop it'd be easy to cook up a bunch quickly.

I've made it several times now and use about 1/4 pound per. Also tried the breakfast version with sausage.

Watched a video on them puppies today. I will make them tomorrow two ways, one with American Cheese and one with Blue Cheese should be interesting.
I like the way the soft shell tocos get crispy with the beef fat.

For decades we would smear a thin layer of hamburger over half of a corn tortilla, season and fry in 1/2 inch of hot oil in a dutch oven. Fry each side for minute or two, then flip and cook the other side.
You end up with a crispy taco with a meat patty inside. Add lettuce, cheese, tomato and Pico Pica and your good to go.
Sounds like you did about the same.

Take all night to cook those for our tribe.

Guess we could use 4 skillets. This seems like a good application for a flattop.

Prefer my Moose Burgers with my homemade Brioche Buns with all the fixings 1000 x's more.

Understandable. My kids prefer the shell. I don't mind a bun either but it's more about the meat and fixings than bread for me.

Made taco burgers back in the 70’s when I was in high school.
