OP Trappererick Campfire Regular T Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 710 Downeast maine	Is there an acceptable range of rim diameters that will work with different bolt face diameters? I see a lot of bolt diameters of .480 and they seem to work well with the standard .473 so there is at least .007 of range. Just wondering if there is a rule of thumb for that.

Tyrone Campfire Outfitter Joined: Jul 2015 Posts: 14,642	It's more about the extractor than the bolt face. As long as the extractor can grab the rim, you're good. Look at Mausers for instance. They don't have a recessed bolt face. Politics is War by Other Means
