Just something that I'm not sure I ever hear mentioned here is that as well as all the other models changing names in the 1921-1922 time period..

The pistols did also.

Went from the Model 1917 to the Model 17.

Marketing got their way across all product lines.

First time I have heard of a 1917 pistol called Model 17. Thus, sounds very strange.

Yeah, I'd seen it but never really absorbed it before.

I don't remember seeing that either. Any idea the year of the ad?

Not an ad. That's from the Rogues Gallery catalog, catalog #63. Page 24.

1924 retail multi page pricelist here. I've also seen the "Model 17" name on the small pricelists.

Thanks for posting catalog examples.
