It is starting to look like maybe I fugged up.

That Minox MD 62 spotter was just too tempting at SWFA at half price. I saw it was the last one in stock and bought it.



Trying to find the eyepiece though, is proving to be an exercise in frustration. I have a note in to Doug....hoping....doubtful...as it does not appear they stock Minox. Unless he knows of a cross compatibility between brands. Bear Basin Outfitters in Cali has the item on their website. I called. Not available.

I am hoping to find the Minox ocular 21-42X LER. But will be tickled to death to find anything which will fit this scope.


If anyone can point me toward a proper eyepiece, it will be much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Rut Roh. I knew that you were eyeing that. It was a great deal. You'll find one somewhere. I'd call Minox.

So far only their website, It says "out of production".

A phone call is in order.

Well, I guess it was a nice thought. The spotter arrived today.

I have emailed every Minox dealer this side of Mississippi. Several responded and even went so far as to contact their Minox factory reps. I emailed Minox CS. They did not respond

It seems this scope has been out of production somewhere between ten and fifteen years. Absolutely no dice on finding an ocular.

I definitely did my due diligence.

SWFA was good enough to respond immediately. They said send it back for a full refund.

And kudos to Doug. He took time to exchange several emails and suggested an alternate contact.

Minox customer service goes through Blazer. All I can say is good luck and I wouldn’t expect much.

I have an extra 20-45x for the 62 mm Minox if interested. It’s not the long eye relief, but its useable.

Too late. I wish I had seen this four hours ago. The Minox is already headed back to SWFA.

I am sure your eyepiece is all I would have needed to make it work.
