That was about the time when I drew my Idaho bull moose permit. It was the 1st time I applied. Drawing tags has changed dramatically since then.

I quit applying for bison up here after 40 years of failure to draw. ART/KG suck! smile

I feel your pain, Beanman... I've been donating for 14 years now, and I wouldn't be surprised if I'm 6 feet under before I draw.

Stick with it... maybe it'll happen next year.

After 17 years, I aged out. I knew I would never draw a bull moose tag, so I put in for a cow moose tag in a RFW program. I drew Sliver Spur ranch near Walden and had my 15 minute hunt.

Shot my one and only Idaho bull moose back in 1991. Fun hunt, would love to do it again but would have to be with a Super Tag (another IDF&G money grubbing scheme)

Don’t feel bad, 30 years for sheep goat and moose in Washington. Over 20 in Idaho for buck, bull antelope and spring bear!!🤦‍♂️😅

Hang in there. It took 35 years to pull a sheep tag.

I have also aged out on drawing a Maine Moose tag. 30+ years with purchased points and no luck. With my age and some joint problems and replacements I don't think I can do it anymore. Will have to make do hunting whitetails as long as I can.
Have a great day.

This is my 35th year applying for a Maine moose tag. I was 31 y/o when I started!

I got my Idaho bull sometime in the 90's, too. We were near Ashton, just outside the park boundary. On opening day, it was 92F. We said screw that and went home. 10 days later, I got mine in 10" of snow. The weather can change fast that time of year.

I'm feeling like such a fool after so many years of applying for tags in different states.
I could have gone to Alaska or Canada and hunted something.
19 points (years) in Arizona..
17 in Colorado.
17 in Wyoming.
10 in Utah.
14 in Nevada.
A schittton in California.
It's ridiculous.

Been trying for bighorn for 49 yrs in Oregon. Historically had to front tag cost of about $90 and odds were in the 1 in 20 or 30 range. They did away with fronting the money and odds are now 1 in 400 or 500.

Have had 12-year-old kids that did my Hunter Ed class draw on their first try. Damn little bastards.

Drew my Bull Moose tag after 23 years in CO. Got a really nice Shiras Bull with my 35 Whelen.
My wife has been applying for even longer and has not drawn yet.

Years ago it was fairly easy to draw a Calif bighorn tag in Idaho. In some units the odds were as good as 1 in 5. Then a bug hit the sheep and the numbers dropped dramatically. They've never come back. Of course they had to drop the number of tags accordingly and now the drawing odds are more like 1 in 50.
