Can anyone tell me what 1" rings to use on a Kimber 82 Government Tipoff grooves are 11 MM? I am trying to mount a Leupold VXiii 6.5-20X40.
Thanks

Burris - they make a rimfire ring that comes with two sets of clamps, one set for 11mm and one set for 3/8". They also make them with and without the synthetic insers (Signature series) I recommend paying a few dollars more for the one with the inserts because they will not mar the finish on a scope.

Thanks Drover. I am looking for a set with a radius cut on the bottom of the ring set as the Kimber 82G has a radius receiver, not flat on top. Think the burris has a radius or is it flat?
Thanks

They have a flat bottom but look to me like there is enough clearance for a rounded receiver. I am currently using them on a Tikka T1x. I have used them on other dovetailed receivers but can't recall which ones, the only real way to know for sure is to buy a set and try them, then return them if they don't work. Another option is to exercise your googlefu and go to the Burris website and see if they address the fitment.

Warne makes a set of rimfire rings that are rounded on the bottom. I bought a pair of them but ended up not using them because of the way the top half of the ring fit over the scope, they were difficult to get on without scratching the finish on the scope.
BKL also makes some that will work with a round top receiver. They are not as nice looking IMO but the are a very sturdy ring.

Went through this on a couple Kimbers for myself and a couple for a buddy. For my buddy I machined the bases for the radius so they would fit as he couldn't find any that worked. I started doing a bit more research and found the CZ457 rings have the radius and fit the Kimbers fine- at least the couple pair I bought fit my rifles. Pretty sure they were Leupold rings, but the Burris rings for CZ should also work.

Talley makes a rimfire ring that duplicates the vertical split and look of the 2nd generation Kimber rings. You need the set for Anschutz rifles which have the same 11mm grooves. They come in two heights. I have several sets and they are extremely well made and finished.

The Talleys for Anschutz rifles are radiused as sagerat describes, work perfectly for KoO rounded and grooved receivers. With the scope you mention, the high rings would work well. Talley rings for the CZs fit KoO 82 receivers that have Kimber bases that are flat on top, such as the 82 Super Americas.

You want Bob's 1913 Extended 25 MOA Rail. I've shot dozens of them less issue. Dovetail grooves are a Dog Schit "system". Doubly so on something as schitty as a Reupold 1" 6.5-20x and it's horrible erector travel. Hint. Thank me later. Just sayin'. Hint....................

I see a few have discussed flat vs round bases of the ring, and that flat based rings can be machined to the round configuration.
This sounds more complicated than it is.
