So this topic is running a close second to Chain Saws but “hear” I go. Had tests and imaging to determine the cause of my profound rated hearing loss. Turned out to be birthdays along with gunfire, power tools, loud music, etc. Burned out dealing with UHC hearing aid program to make a long story short. I can get them at Costco for the same dollars without insurance as I can through preferred providers with insurance and it’s a lot easier. I had Costco Kirklands a many years ago and they worked well. Now it appears the store brand are not available but THESEare. Looking for experience and opinions on the brands offered. Any help is appreciated.

They are junk.
Go to a real audiologist, pay the money and have that “real” audiologist adjust those aids as many times as needed to make them work for you, not just a computer program.
I have another appointment with my audiologist tomorrow, I have had these aids for 7 years, as my hearing changes, he makes changes.
My wife’s dog chewed up my left aid. A new one was $2K, he took the pieces, sent them in and they made a new one for $400, this is the one that needs more fine tuning.
Costco ain’t gunna do that, no how no way.

Costco ain’t gunna do that, no how no way. That's exactly what Costco DOES. Unlimited adjustments, accident (dog chews) replacements, service as long as you own them (my last set lasted 8 years until the programming was too outdated to update).

As usual on many topics, Steve knows not of which he speaks.
My wife spent a career as a teacher of the deaf. She says Costco is among the best for hearing aids, so that's good enough for me.

Have some Costco's they help on noises but do nothing for people speaking. Have you considered that it's your ears that have the problem? They aren't a cure all. If you can't hear voices, likely no hearing aid can fix it.

Lol when I got my 1st set my audiologist told me when they are not in your ears they need to be in the case they came with. I raised an eyebrow and he said they have ear wax on them and your scent your dog will think he needs to chew or eat them. He was right and luckily only needed to replace the custom molded ear plug on one side..I got those in May 2012 $4000 dollars for my profound high frequency hearing loss. I am still using them, I had my hearing checked late last fall and results compared to my results that the aides were tuned for, he readjusted them for my current level of loss. I asked him if I would gain by the new tech.in hearing aides and he said with my loss not much. He told me I had the longest serving set of Starkeys he'd ever sold. The good news is that because of the advances in hearing aides the next set were only going to be about $2500 but told me to use these till they are shot. Over 11 years now and below a dollar a day. He has stood by and serviced them everytime in that time at no cost other than parts that wore out after the warranty went away. At times I'm a slow learner but I doubt I'll ever go any where else for my hearing aide needs..mb

8 or 10 years ago I was working on a fence in a goat pasture when I somehow lost one. The next day, I was walking across the pasture and miraculously, I found it - well chewed up by a goat. I took it back to Costco for an estimate on repair and they just made me a new one, no charge.

I am satisfied with the Costco Philips brand. Thank you. Just to recap Costco is not offering the Kirklands at this time. There was some issue with them I can’t recall right now. Current offerings are Rexton, Phillips and Jabra as shown in the link. As far as service I can’t complain about Costco. YMMV. Within 6 months I lost one of mine. Replaced with no argument other than to be careful with them because you only get one replacement, at least back then. Also had a couple of adjustments made no problem. Recently I have been to an audiologist and two EENTs all UHC in network. Prior to my first visit I discovered the largest by far EENT group locally had terminated their work completely with UHC. My visit with the stand alone audiologist, in network, turned out to be a freelancer with a 10x10 office. To his credit he declined my business after seeing my test results. The first EENT was completely disinterested in addressing a clinical issue I have with my hearing and when questioned stated ‘let’s see how the hearing aids work first’. Plus I contracted covid from the very sick audiologist while there. Tested positive 3 days later. The second EENT was very credible and addressed my clinical issue with both an MRI and a CT. Issues present but nothing to suggest intervention. Unfortunately they had dropped UHC from their hearing aid program. So that is why I’m back to Costco for those concerned. That and the fact I’ll be out of pocket $1600 for a pair addressing my needs using my insurance “benefit”. Pretty much the same price as Costco without the hassle.

I used to get my hearing aids from Audiologist. Then I got a pair from Costco. Costco service was great and the cost was a lot less. I am now on my second hearing aid from Costco.

My hearing without hearing aids improved because when I started wearing hearing sounds I heard sounds I hadn't heard in over 50 years. In other words my memory was refreshed.
