.470 does seem too good to be true. Then, I only shot it at 400 yards. 1000 yards will be the truth-teller.

Shot this load at 950 yards today, to get a better handle on BC and retained velocity.

I applied 25.5 moa, and fired five rounds. Only registered one hit on the steel. I went back to the target, and found a decent sub-moa group in the dirt, just a bit below the target. Group was about 1.5 moa low of aiming point.

So, based on a 950 yard correction of 27.0 moa, it loks like BC comes out to about .430.

Conditions made it impossible for me to spot my hits/misses through the little scope. I did get an audible indicator on the highest round that hit the steel.

Here's the target. 15" x 25" steel. Note the hit near bottom, and you might be able to make out the hits in the dirt.

At 950 yards, the target was nearly invisible, even through the scope. Looked kinda like this:

I was at 4500', temp about 20-25F. Corrected trajectory table looks like this:

Thanks, some great shooting in those conditions. Your target is camouflaged as well as one could be.

Hunt hard, kill clean, waste nothing and offer no apologies.
